As a licensed stylist being in the industry for many years, starting out as a teen working with her older siblings in their family owned salon, empowered & taught her leadership skills from a young age. Beginning as a Makeup Artist & Nail Tech, and then becoming a Hairstylist and Co/Owner of Salon10 with her sister Sofia. Always attending educational events throughout the year and virtually to keep up with the forever changing trends for herself and the team.

Through proper consultation, her specialties include all techniques in Colouring/Highlighting, Smoothing Treatments & Haircutting. Being a Goldwell Hair Colour Specialist for many years and training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy Toronto has allowed her more precision in haircutting skills when working on all guests.

Growing up in this industry, she had the blessing of interacting with guests and understanding the importance of a great salon experience. Attending hair shows at a young age inspired her to understand the artistic side of this career and as she got older, she got to work behind the scenes at some of these hair shows with Makeup & Hair.

By the time she reached 16 yrs old to the present she has continued to invest deeply in education to always advance her skill to share with her team. Travel, Nature, Music & Fashion also inspire her. By her teen years she worked side by side assisting her sister Luciana(Lu), which was a great experience and they both had the same vision on how they wanted their guests to feel the minute they walked into a salon.

In 2007 Sofia and Lu opened up SALON10, creating a place for their team to flourish and for their guests to feel safe & comfortable to enjoy.

Sofia has been a licensed hairstylist for 29 yrs, and specializes in all forms of Barbering, Hair Colouring, Smoothing & Texture Services, Haircutting, Styling and Formal Makeup.

As long as Rachael can remember, she’s always wanted to be a hairstylist. At a young age, on her P.D days, she’d visit her aunt at the salon she worked at and help sweep and serve coffee, & she just loved it. In 2001 she graduated from Nu Wave Pivot Point School of Hair Design. The one thing she loves the most about her profession is the strong relationships she gets to build, & not only does she make her guests look good, she makes them feel good too. Till this day she continues to attend hair shows and advanced workshops and strives to stay on trend and learn new things.

Along with being a Licensed Stylist, she has 2 children and loves every minute of being a mom.
She loves the atmosphere at Salon10, and the team are such a great group of people.

Alice is a hairstylist apprentice who is passionate about healthy hair & scalp, layered cuts, blonding, grey coverage and creative colours..  She’s growing her skill in scalp treatments, brow shaping and barbering and welcomes new guests to enjoy her services as she sharpens those skills with a 20% off special introductory price.  She loves collaborating with clients to create hair that feels personal and perfectly tailored to their individual style and needs.

A recent graduate of Nuwave School of Hair Design, Alice is excited to continue growing her skills and expand her knowledge at Salon10 Hair & Spa Lounge Thunder Bay.. As an apprentice, she’s focused on building a strong foundation, refining her technique, and delivering exceptional customer service to every guest who sits in her chair. Welcome our newest SALON10 team member- Felicity is a licensed stylist that has been passionate about hair since high school, always knowing she wanted to build a career helping people feel confident and beautiful. Growing up in Thunder Bay, she later moved to Ottawa to complete her hairstyling education, where she immersed herself in advanced training and the newest industry trends. She is excited to bring that knowledge and fresh perspective back home.

Felicity specializes in blonding and customized colour services, creating lived-in, dimensional tones that enhance her guests’ natural beauty. Claire is a dedicated, bilingual hairstylist committed to helping clients feel included, confident and empowered no matter what their hair concern is. Her journey began at Salon10 as a high school co-op student, where she quickly developed a passion for the craft.
After two years as a salon assistant, she pursued training at the Aveda Institute in Winnipeg. Now an apprentice, Claire specializes in Aveda Stress Relieving Rituals, barbering, and creative hair colour, with a focus on inclusivity for all hair types and textures. She believes every client deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated. Eager to bring her creativity and passion to each client, Claire is excited to welcome and offer a personalized experience tailored just for you.
